Launch of NAP5: Accidental Awareness During Anaesthesia

'The 5th National Audit Project (NAP5), Accidental Awareness During General Anaesthesia, has officially been launched. The project launch was by Dr Tim Cook, Consultant Anaesthetist, Bath and took place at the College's Annual Congress.

NAP5 is a joint partnership between the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland and the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

The project seeks notification of all new reports of Accidental Awareness during General Anaesthesia (AAGA) reported between 1st June 2012 and 31st May 2013, inclusive.

All UK hospitals have agreed to take part and every UK hospital has a NAP5 local co-ordinator. Do find out who it is!
