2015 - Round 1
On Tuesday 30 June, the NIAA Grants Committee met to consider the first round of applications for 2015 on behalf of The Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain & Ireland (AAGBI) & Anaesthesia, The Association of Cardiothoracic Anaesthetists (ACTA), The Association of Paediatric Anaesthetists of Great Britain & Ireland (APAGBI), The British Journal of Anaesthesia (BJA) & The Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA), the Difficult Airway Society (DAS), the Neuroanaesthesia and Critical Care Society of Great Britain & Ireland (NACCSGBI), the Obstetric Anaesthetists' Association (OAA), Regional Anaesthesia UK (RA UK) and the Vascular Anaesthesia Society of Great Britain & Ireland (VASGBI).
We considered 43 applications over 12 categories for a requested sum of £1,440,121 and made a total of 10 awards over 6 categories to a value of £334,726. Success rate: 23%.
