HTA efficient study designs call: opportunity to apply for methods research

This HTA call is for research that will demonstrate particular design features that will allow more rapid conduct and/or lower costs, when benchmarked against conventional multicentre trials, while still providing data sufficiently robust to guide NHS or patient decisions.

There is now an opportunity to apply for bolt-on methodological projects to run alongside these studies as part of a joint call with the MRC-NIHR Methodology Research Programme.

Funds are available for the development, evaluation and validation of novel methodologies to support any stage of the study process.

Proposals can be in any specialty area provided they are within the remit of the programme. The closing date for applications is 1 pm on 16 July 2014.
