University of Bristol NIHR-Clinical Lectureship in Anaesthesia

Continuing on the success of the NIHR-Clinical Lectureship scheme we are able to invite applications for a post in academic Anaesthesia at the University of Bristol and Severn Postgraduate Medical Education partnership

The Clinical Lectureship is designed to provide postdoctoral support for an Anaesthetist-in-training who has completed or will have completed a higher degree (PhD or MD) prior to starting the post. It provides salary support to allow the clinician to set aside 50% of their time to develop their academic skills with the remaining 50% for clinical training.

The Lectureship is available for a maximum of four years and should enable the completion of clinical training, as well as the attainment of further support for research (e.g. intermediate or postdoctoral fellowship or research grants) and experience in teaching. A broad range of research interests can be fostered within the School of Physiology & Pharmacology with particular strengths in basic science and translational research.
