Opportunities to present at national Anaesthesia Research event

The new NIAA-led two-day meeting Anaesthesia Research 2019 will be held on 2 & 3 December and there are plenty of opportunities across the event programme for researchers to get involved in presenting their work.


NIAA Research Award

Applications now closed

Aimed at new investigators with a project or a research 'body of work' (equivalent to two or more papers on one subject, or from an MD/PhD thesis) that covers an evidence-based research question. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to present at Anaesthesia Research 2019.

We are calling for submissions of abstracts for poster display at Anaesthesia Research 2019. This opportunity is open to all who are interested or active in research in anaesthesia and perioperative medicine.

Anaesthetic Research Society (ARS) / BJA Research Forum abstracts

The ARS invites abstract submissions for the BJA Research Forum that cover:

  • Anaesthesia, its related disciplines and subspecialties
  • Clinical and laboratory research
  • Robust Quality Improvement projects

UK Perioperative Medicine Clinical Trials Network (POMCTN) trial proposals

Investigators who wish to present trial proposals at Anaesthesia Research 2019 should complete the short submission form below and return it to the CTN by email before 7th October

Proposals may be accepted after the deadline if there are presentation slots still available. Please contact the CTN to enquire.
